The Zoo Take Two

Thanksgiving week, we went to the Jackson Zoo with Mimaw, Mommy, and Daddy. We really liked it. Aidan laughed out loud at the monkeys. I really liked seeing the hippopotamus. It was huge! It was really a pygmy hippopotamus, but it was still way bigger than me! Zoos have fun playgrounds. I didn't get to ride the zoo train at the Jackson Zoo, it wasn't working. We still had a lot of fun! Mommy and Daddy should probably get zoo passes because I want them to take me there a lot! - Imogene

The Zoo!

We really like the zoo. I really like seeing the monkeys. They are really funny to watch. Imogene likes the zoo train. I got to ride a carousel for the first time. I wasn't quite sure what to think about it. I started liking it toward the end of my ride. We also really like the playgrounds at the zoo! They are a lot of fun. We didn't like the petting zoo much. Imogene was very disappointed that there were only goats to pet. She thought there should be more exotic things than goats to pet. They have a lot of gorillas at the Atlanta zoo. Daddy was excited because they have a Starbucks in the zoo. That made him happy to be there. We had a lot of fun! Maybe we'll go again soon! - Aidan

Halloween 2008

So, I realize this is coming just a little bit late, but I had to share some Halloween photos. Of course, we have no photos of the kids in their costumes because Imogene refused to dress up and Aidan threw up all over his. Aidan was Eustace Scrubb as a dragon and Imogene was going to be Reepicheep. But here they are enjoying their ghost cookies from their Mimaw and Papaw. - Aidan and Imogene

Apple Picking Jubilee

A few weekends ago, we went to the Apple Picking Jubilee in Ellijay with the Brookshire family. It was so much fun! I got to pet goats, chickens, a pig, a calf, and some lambs. I also got to see a pig race! It was so funny! Some older ladies were getting very upset with the emcee. It was terrible. You've never heard such awful fussing in your life! Then the pig races got started! They painted the backs of little pigs. Then the emcee yelled, "On your mark, get set, GO!!!" They raised the gate and all the pigs went running and squealing around the track! It was so funny! Who won, you ask? The pig. Aidan liked learning about bees. He watched a bee keeper talk about bees and show him all sorts of bee things for over an hour. I thought it was boring! We have bees at home. We do not have pig races at home. Although, I think we should. Do you think Daddy would build me a pig racing track and buy me five racing pigs for Christmas? I'll go ask! - Imogene

I'm One!

My first birthday party was so much fun! I really enjoyed it. I was feeling a little sick, but I am glad I got to party with my family and friends. A lot of people came to my party. Jeremy and Billy came. The Youngblood girls were all there! Mimaw Godbold, Papaw Godbold, Uncle Tom, and Aunt Carrie all came from Mississippi to be with me! Granny Wilson, Poppa Wilson, Uncle Graham, and Uncle Brad (I think he may prefer Charlie these days.) all came from Alabama to party down. Of course, Mommy, Daddy, and Imogene were there, too. I tell you, my Mommy threw one fantastic sock monkey party! I had a lot of fun. I got some really nice gifts. But more importantly, I got to have a great first birthday with the people I love the most! Thank you guys for being there for me. After my party and my afternoon nap, Mommy and Daddy had to take me to urgent care. No, I did not party too hard. It was completely non-party related. I had croup. The doctor gave me a steroid shot and I had to take liquid steroids for a week after that! Mommy was very glad when all that was done and I was feeling much better. She said the medicine gave me "roid rage." I'm not sure what that means, but they did make me hyper and cranky. I sure am glad to be better. I'm going to go help Daddy now! - Aidan

Just A Few Photos

Moving On

We moved to a new house. I call it my little house. I like it. We have apple trees. I like to go pick apples off the trees. They are kind of sour, though. I still like to go pick my own apple off the tree. The deer like to eat apples off the apple trees, too. Maybe that is why it appeals so much to me. I am eating deer food. We also have lots of rabbits where we live. We have a giant spider that lives in our sun room window (on the outside). I call her "Shar-dit" (Charlotte). We also have little lizards, turtles, and squirrels. I need to go eat my cheese dip now! - Imogene
