Conversations with Imogene

Conversation #1: Imogene is screaming at the top of her lungs, running from a red heart balloon with the words "Happy Valentine's Day!" across its middle.
Mommy: Imogene, don't you like your pretty balloon Daddy gave you for Valentine's Day?
Imogene: No!
Mommy: Daddy got you that balloon because he knows you like balloons! It was so nice of Daddy to get you your very own balloon.
Imogene: No!
Mommy: Well, if you don't like balloons for Valentine's Day, what would you like?
Imogene: Flow. (Rhymed with cow, which is her word for what everyone else calls 'flowers.')

Conversation #2: Imogene is walking around the living room slowly eating a banana. Lucas (our dog) was walking around behind her, hoping to steal a bite. Imogene trips on a toy in the floor, throwing the banana across the room. She looks up and realizes that Lucas is heading toward her banana.
Imogene: No! No, dawg!!

My Room Is Ready For Me!

I slept in my room for the first time the other day! I took a nap in my crib. My room was Imogene's room, but Granny bought me my own crib and Imogene kept her old crib, it just moved to her new room with her! Daddy got everything back together in my room. I like it. Daddy is having a changing table/ bookcase made for my new room, too! I have the same bedding Imogene had when she was in the nursery. I like it. I like to look at the lions! I'm going to go drink some pear juice, now! - Aidan

Aidan's Baptism

I am so sorry I am so late getting photos of Aidan's baptism up. I am also sorry I have not updated in a while. Here are pictures of Aidan's baptism. He was baptized on Sunday, February 3 here at our church. I had a lot of fun planning for the baptism. We ordered flowers for the service (blue daisies, white spider mums, and white carnations) and they looked beautiful with the sweet decorative glass plaque his Granny got him. I also had to get a bowl for the water (the church didn't have one) and I put white rose petals in it for the baptism. Aidan's Mimaw and Papaw went with us and bought Aidan's baptism outfit. It was a very cute, classic white one-piece pant suit. We also got him some little white shoes. I couldn't decide on getting shoes or just fluffly socks for him. It seemed silly either way. Marshall Daigre baptized Aidan for us so Adam could participate in the baptism as a father, not as a pastor. We really enjoyed having the Daigre's come over for that. Aidan did very well during the baptism. He did get a little bit fussy, but not because of the water or the service. He just wanted to eat there at the end. We had a really good time with out family and friends celebrating Aidan becoming part of the Church! My family and the Daigres went to eat after the baptism at Old Venice. They have one in Starkville. We ate at the one in Jackson after Imogene's baptism, so Adam wanted to go to Old Venice for sentimental reasons. We all ate very well! Thank you Poppa! Thank you to everyone who made the trip to celebrate with us. - Lindsey

Sunday Morning Breakfast

I ate rice cereal and a piece of pineapple for breakfast on Sunday morning. Mommy put my pineapple in the food pacifier so I couldn't get choked. I am up to 5 food now! I have had rice cereal, bananas, pears, pineapple, and oatmeal. My favorite, so far, is oatmeal! All this talk about food is making me hungry! - Aidan
I ate fruit with dip for breakfast on Sunday morning. I had a strawberry and some pineapple. Mommy gave me Cool Whip to dip my fruit in. I ate more dip than I did fruit! I love to dip my food. Yesterday, at lunch, I was dipping a chip in Daddy's sandwich. Last night at dinner, I was dipping my peas in rice. I really enjoy dipping my food! I'm going to go read a book now! - Imogene

Sunday Morning Sleeping

We took over Mommy & Daddy's bed on Sunday morning. We were both sleepy-heads! Mommy thought we were so cute sleeping next to each other. We get along most of the time. We need to go now! We are playing with bibs! - Imogene & Aidan

Do you like my outfit?

Do you like the outfit I am wearing in these pictures? I had a little accident, so Mommy took my pants off and didn't make me put anymore on! Boy was that fun! I love running around in my diaper. I also like running around completely naked. I don't get to do that much anymore. Daddy gets nervous when I run around completely naked because I have had a couple accidents in the floor. I like my bib. I like to put bibs on throughout the day. I find the bib I want to wear, then I take it to Mommy. She puts it on me. Then when I am ready to take it off, I let Mommy know, and she takes it off for me. I'm going to go play now! - Imogene

Learning To Eat With A Spoon- Photos

For everyone that prefers photos to video, here are some pictures of me learning to eat with my spoon. I was trying to eat mashed potatoes with a spoon. Mommy showed me how to scoop. I had a little trouble with the scooping. It is easy when your bowl is full, but when you have more bowl than potatoes, it gets harder. I gave up with the spoon and tried with my hands. But it is really hard to pick up mashed potatoes with your fingers. So, I turned my bowl up and started licking my bowl! I really enjoyed my mashed potatoes! - Imogene
