The Early Works Museum

We went to The Early Works Museum last week. It is a hands-on history museum. We really had a lot of fun! Mr. Marshall, Mrs. Jessica, and Jackson went with us. We made postcards. We rode a cow. We went fishing. We picked vegetables. We rode in a carriage. We listened to a story told by a tree. We played instruments and danced. It was a lot of fun! - Aidan & Imogene

At The Park On Good Friday

On Good Friday, we were visiting Granny, Poppa, Uncle Graham, and Uncle Brad. We went to the park to play. My sister just runs and runs when she is at the park. She went down a few slides, and enjoyed the swings for a minute. She mostly just ran around and around. A couple times she laid down on her belly in the dirt. Why would she do such a silly thing? Over at the park with sand, she kept tasting the sand. She liked telling people hello. There was a group of teenage troubadours she kept running over to and smiling. I'm sure they will now write songs on a little wild haired girl. I had fun. I played in the swings for a little while. I chewed on my keys. I drank some milk and fell asleep. The park is big fun for a baby! Granny and Uncle Brad played with us at the park. Uncle Brad is so silly. I played with his tech deck. I'm not quite as good as he is because I kept trying to put the board in my mouth. I'm going to go now, there is a ball I need to play with. - Aidan

Easter Photos For Your Enjoyment

Aidan's First Easter

I really enjoyed showing my brother all about Easter. Mommy told me that Easter was about Jesus and I told Aidan that, too. I watched Veggie Tales "Easter Carol" about a hundred times the weeks leading up to Easter. I knew Aidan would like Easter. I love it, so I knew he would love it!
On Easter morning, I got up and Mommy put my Easter dress on me. It was yellow cotton with white polka dots. Daddy picked it out for me. It was cold, but I really didn't want to wear a sweater. Mommy made me put on my navy blue cardigan. Mommy got Aidan dressed. He matched me! He wore some khaki pants, a baby blue polo shirt, and a yellow argyle sweater vest. He looked very handsome! Oh, and he wore an Easter hat! Mommy thought he looked cute. I wanted his hat. I settled on a white headband. Mommy helped me put it on, but the headband was entirely my idea!
We went to church. We didn't have Sunday School, and that confused me a little bit. I saw my friends. They looked so nice in their Easter outfits. Daddy preached. He made bags for all the kids at church! I was thrilled to get my bag! It had 3 eggs in it. 2 eggs had candy in them, Daddy said those two eggs represented the days Jesus was in the tomb. The third egg was empty because he rose on the third day and the tomb was empty! It also had crayons and coloring pages in it! That was my favorite part. My friend went straight for the candy, I went straight for the crayons! Man, do I love to color!!!
After church, Mommy made us stop to take pictures. I did not want my picture taken. I wanted to use all the Kleenex on the pews to blow my nose over and over. I wanted to sing into the microphone. I wanted to dance on the stage. I did not want to sit next to my family and have a picture made! Mommy made me do it anyway! Then she let me sing and dance.
When we came home, Mommy and Daddy gave us Easter baskets! Boy were we excited! She brought out our baskets! I had a lot of fun going through both of them. I got bunny straws, cups, panties, coloring book, crayons, candy, and a play microphone in mine! Aidan got a Little People Noah's ark with all sorts of animals and Noah, onesies, pajamas, pacifiers, and a silly chick ball! I liked playing with Aidan's basket. Daddy got a basket full of candy and Mommy got a basket full of candy.
Mommy cooked lunch for us. We ate ham, green beans, carrots, corn, and rolls. I really liked the corn and the ham.
Then we colored Easter eggs. That wasn't very fun. I couldn't do much of the decorating. And when you bite one of those brightly colored eggs, it does not taste like candy! They taste like... eggs! Mommy hid the Easter eggs in the front yard and Aidan and I had an Easter egg hunt! It was so much fun. When all the eggs were found, Aidan and I were tied. I did not like that outcome. He cheated. Daddy helped him. So, I stole the eggs out of Aidan's basket and put them in mine. I won.
I liked Easter a lot. Mommy and Daddy let me eat more candy than I ever get to eat on regular days! I began acting like a terror toward the afternoon with all that sugar in me. But I sure did like my candy! I liked the Peeps and my chocolate bunny! Yummy! I'm going to go see if there is any of the candy left! - Imogene

Dress Up!

I like playing dress up! Mimaw gave Daddy a bag of clothes that were his when he was little. I like putting those clothes on. My Daddy was very multi-cultural as a kid! I like wearing his little Asian get-up. I think it is fun! I also enjoyed wearing his lederhosen. I kept looking at the fancy flowers on the front. We have our first flowers of the spring at our house. They are buttercups. I like to pick them. Flowers are probably my favorite thing right now! You can see me wearing my new black and white dress with a pretty buttercup. I am going to go play with Jackson now! - Imogene

Look How Big I Am!

I am getting very big! I like to play in my entertainer, now. I am a very happy boy. I am getting very big. I'm going to go play now! We are visiting friends and family this week since Daddy is on Spring Break, so I probably won't get to blog much this week! - Aidan

6 Months Old

I am 6 months old now! Mommy & Daddy cannot believe how big I am. I went to see Dr. Thompson yesterday. He said I look great! I weighed 17 pounds and 8 ounces. I am 26.5 inches long. Dr. Thompson said that puts me in the 50th percentile in weight and height. I can sit up tri-pod now. I can sit alone in the big Boppy. I learned to click my tongue. I think it is a funny thing to do. I really like to play peek-a-boo! It is so funny! It gets me laughing very hard. I am growing so fast! It won't be long until I can catch my sister! Mommy started letting me play in the entertainer this week. I really like it. I get to stand and jump and play. My sister shows me how all the buttons and toys work. I am eating very well. I will get to start eating meat soon! I am going to go get some milk now! I am hungry now. - Aidan
